Ages 2 - 7: Tuesdays and Thursdays - 10:00AM - 11:15AM

Animal Care, Horsepersonship and Nature Exploration

Come to our therapeutic ranch! Learn about horses, goats, chickens and guinea pigs. Learn about their behaviors, what they eat and other basic care. Learn how to put on a saddle/bridle/hackamore, learn about grooming supplies and techniques.
Our patient therapy animals calmly stand by while you learn.
By the end of the entire course: will understand basic animal care, health, wellness and safety. You'll have an understanding of how to saddle and put on a hackamore. See each day's information below.
COSTS:
$130 per day, per person, $30 off each additional person if registering at the same time.
If registering for all 4 days it is $375 (+$100 off each addition person registering at the same time).

What You will learn:
- Basic horse safety and behavior
- Horse Handling
- 3 different types of halters and use
- 3 ways to back a horse on the ground
- basic grooming techniques & tools
- parts of the horse. parts of a horse foot
- How to pick horses' feet
- basic horse, chicken, goat care, guinea pig care
- How to saddle/bridle a horse/hackamore
- How to remove saddle/bridle/hackamore
- How to move a horse with energy, a rope, whip, noodle (ground)
- Boundaries, communication, body language, how to develop connections,
- Build relationships with self, peers and animals at the therapeutic ranch

Come to our therapeutic ranch! For ages *2yrs - 7 years.
Learn with your child about the animals at our ranch. Pet, learn and experience at your and your child's comfort level. Walk through nature, examine plants and participate in our nature scavenger hunt!
Dates:
2 days of classes Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00AM -11:15AM -- December 29 & December 31, 2026
*If your child is younger then 2 or over 7 and feel this is still a good fit, let's talk!
Costs:
$80 per day, per person, $20 off each additional person if registering at the same time. OR $150 for the week if paying and registering for both days.
($40 off each additional person registering at the same time).
One adult free per child over 3
3yrs or under - 2 adults free
$5 additional per adult.
